Commercial
DMG Landscape Architects is retained by several national and international corporate clients that have trusted our landscape design services for many years. We create efficient and effective design solutions that successfully consider the needs of the client while responding to municipal design guidelines and physical site constraints. Our corporate clients have come to appreciate the importance of landscape architecture in conveying a positive and sensitive corporate identity in the communities that they serve in.
Industrial
DMG Landscape Architects works with private industry and public planners to establish standards for development of industrial lands. Our innovative ideas respond to sensitive ecological conditions along shorelines and intertidal zones while meeting the aesthetic requirements of industrial park tenants and municipal authorities.
Park / Sports Fields
DMG Landscape Architects has collaborated with public agencies across British Columbia to create innovative and functional public parks at a neighbourhood, community and regional level. Our public spaces have consistently meet the demands of the communities they serve while recognizing the natural systems and contextual influences of each site.
Our years of experience in the design of athletic facilities for schools and community parks has resulted in a strong working knowledge of play surface construction techniques, irrigation planning and design, maintenance requirements, and construction details for various play structures including sports fields, court game facilities, skateboard parks, and water play parks. This ensures a high-quality, budget conscious design that meets our own rigorous safety standards, as well as those of our park and school board clients.
Civic / Institutional / Healthcare
DMG Landscape Architects is part of the accomplished design teams behind landscape concept plans for several health care and congregate care facilities in the Lower Mainland. Our design concepts respond to the unique considerations of these facilities by providing outdoor spaces for the sick, elderly or disabled in a reassuring and rejuvenative environment.
We have devised responsive master plans and landscape concepts for several post-secondary institutions, in addition to landscape plans for individual campus buildings. Creative designs that accommodate logical pedestrian circulation patterns, vehicle movement, sports facilities, public gathering spaces, combine with an appreciation of safety, security, and environmental requirements, resulting in memorable and distinctive campus plans.
We are also pleased to assist in the development of prominent civic spaces in and around Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. Our multidisciplinary approach, along with the involvement of public officials and private citizens, is the key to successfully depicting a vision for municipal urban plazas and civic places. We strive to ensure that our design work imparts a sense of civic pride and identity for the community within a coherent and well-defined urban space.

Urban Streetscapes
This category is under construction.
DMG Landscape Architects has established a high standard for the design of streetscapes and public plazas in communities throughout British Columbia. Our work has incorporated street tree planting, detailed paving surfaces, and custom furniture design that add artistry and novelty to an otherwise ordinary public realm. Our innovative approach to street tree planting using structural soil mixes has increased the life expectancy of urban trees in many local municipalities - a direct result of our understanding of arboricultural technology, our sensitivity to community concerns as well as our attention to aesthetics.
